Preventing Cyber Criminals from Winning the Battle

Trend's new solution architecture uses their own 'in-the-cloud' host systems to check suspicious content against dynamically updated, integrated databases of malicious web sites, files and emails in order to block threats before they are downloaded to users' computers. It is a true unified threat management (UTM) system that has the added advantage of consuming much less resources on users' computer systems.
The reports show that Trend Micro has the ability to block well over 90% of threats. Conversely some high profile, well known competitors that use older technology have seen their ability to block new threats fall to less than 60%, which suggests that users of these products could be at significant risk.
